Hi was ther two months ago with a family who had never been to bali before and were terrified to leave aus and go to bali but felt they had to overcome that fear and try!I agree with everyones comments so far nonoe can ever promise it will be safe in bali or anywhere we travel we just have to make a personal decision ourselves on what we feel right to do I know its hard and that dosnt help much but it really is up to yourself! My other half wanted to go back to the restaurant at jimbaran bay we eat at every year in bali last time, I felt and so did the new bali visitors mixed feelings about being in a sad place or feeling afraid to enjoy a place we always felt so safe at but we went and to see the delight in the restaurant staff to actually have people coming back was worth it.The band strolled up and played a few songs we sat back talked to the sellers watched the sunset had amazing meal and a few bottles of wine and we felt someone was looking down on us and saying thanks for returning! With saying that we said our prayers and never forgot the people who didnt make it on that beach that awful night but we felt we were in someway saying to the maniacs were back you will never stop ther australian spirit from surviving!!The beach was quite busy mostly germans, french and japanese, javenese who thought us quite crazy for our loud singing of we come from a land downunder!Trust your inner feelings if you can go and enjoy yourself you should if you have fears wait to you feel right about it!
