Be careful though if your ticket is one that is not just a straight return ticket but has bonus accomadation ect then it doesn't matter what you do, it will say on your ticket that it can't be changed.
I had a gurada ticket like this,I tried to change it in Indonesian Jarkarta (twice)and Bundung,even with my wife being Indonesian it didn't matter what we said or offered to pay in the end I had to buy another ticket home as I couldn't extend my ticket.
