you may still have enough time to cancel your accommodation and rebook somewhere else. If not, you could still keep the accommodation and see how it goes and if you find it too quiet then just book a different hotel in a more singles orientated area. You can get rooms from about $20 a night, which if you think of the money 'she' would have spent shopping, you will be way out in front.
