There is a women's group called ANZA : Australia and New Zealand association.. (im actually not a part of it) They have regular meetings... a newsletter for every month, day trips, cooking classes, a heap of activities..., my mum joined this group when we moved to jakarta about 16 years ago...and although my parents now live in in singapore, mum still keeps in touch with friends she made trhu this group ... good luck :)
