Yes the hotel was quiet, but I think a lot of places are at moment - there were not many western tourists staying, but there was a big group of Indonesian visitors from Jakarta. I did not see inside the deluxe rooms, but they are located very near to the pool area, and the gardens are beautiful...

The hotel itself, while on a main street is set back from it far enough to be quiet and tranquil. I would agree the standard rooms needed some TLC - a little bit of paint peeling etc, but I think that what is needed to breath life back into any of these places is for people to go and stay there. No guests means no money, means facilities deteriorate.

I have contacted the hotel again about a group booking next year, as I am planning on taking some of my yoga students on a trip to Bali in June 2007.

I do hope you enjoy your stay at the Paradiso, and would love to hear what you think when you get back.
