First rainy day in a week so thought I'd check my mail and of course the forum!!!

Observations and info briefly.

Weather has been amazing...for first time hired a scooter 30,000 per day and more than got our moneys worth as, although taxis are cheap compared to Aus, they do add up when on a fixed budget. Have enjoyed having it and will do it again (hubby has correct license)

Not as quiet as I expected during the day, but nights quiet. Rumours always busy, Khaima had perhaps 20 people, along the Jl Legian drag very quiet at night. Not great night people tho so things could well happen after we're tucked up!!

6825 at Kodak yesterday, steadily rising, haven't checked today.

No surf

Kumala Pantai pool now clear but most unpleasant few afternoons with noise from costruction of those big units, sounded like a continual power saw noise. To the extent that we left the pool area. I remember reading that people are getting married. May be an idea to take a walk down to the construction site and give them your hours and ask them is they could hush a little then, don't think there would be a problem.

Prices seem the same and haven't noticed that we've been hassled any more, although being on a bike makes a big difference as to how you take things in. Will get out and walk next week when hubby goes.

All for now, will check in in a few days.
