On our VERY first day in Bali we were very green about travelling in Indonesia. We got a minibus up to Ubud (with our luggage) and started wandering round looking for somewhere to stay. My friend isn't known for her stamina and she got very red in the face/cross quite quickly. Luckily we came across Murni's Resturant (which in those days looked like a shack from the street - but I'd seen a pic in a book). We went in there and had a leisurely lunch - mee goreng and a large bintang. Lovely view out over the ravine, ceiling fan, butterflies, gorgeous. So that's now our ritual for first day in Bali.
