Hi all you seasoned Bali travelers,
I'm excited about spending 2007 Nyepi in Ubud. Trying to select the right hotel for the festivities leading up to Nyepi, and then the day of silence. I'm thinking that either Ibah or Tjumphuan would be good choices because they are close in to town, and we want to maximize time in Ubud to see the parade and festivities.....
However, we are also thinking of staying a little farther out, like Royal Pita Maha, Ubud Hanging Gardens or Bagus Jati, beacuse they have large, beautiful gardens and properties that we can quietly walk around in, meditate, etc. on Nyepi.
Does anyone have any experience to suggest where would be best to stay on the eve of Nyepi - cloes in, or farther out - and on Nyepi day itself? Many thanks-
