I took my old pc to bali in nov, for balinese friend, oh ! my what a performance at the customs at denpasar, they wanted so much money(tax) my husband threatened to smash it first) we took modem , keyboard, printer & scanner(which they did not see as was in suitcASE)
But they were hell bent on getting big "bikkies" after a lot of who ahh we gave them 100,000 rp.
The big chief in the office was calmly playing cards on pc and was not really interested.
yes we boxed and packed them well, and had no probs this end ( perth) originally had rung AP and said ok if no more than 20kg, but... we lost that fare and flew garuda, having no choice but to go business class we were ok as had 30kg each.
pc working ok over there and our friends over the moon with it, was some 6yrs old, and i had well and truly had my moneys worth with it, and have now upgraded to a laptop.

great to see the pleasure it as brought to our friends, we have since bought them a usb port to connect to there mobile (as they have no phone line) so they can manage the odd email or surf the web.
