Hi, I have to be really honest and say that while we couldn't wait to go on our first trip we were a bit aprehensive mainly about the accomodation, everybody says that you really only sleep there but I wanted to stay somewhere nice that had everything I wanted. Our firstvisit we stayed at the Mandira in Legian on our second trip we stayed at the Legian Beach Hotel. We wanted to stay out of Kuta so Legian was chosen and I was happy with this choice. I am not really a all day at the beach person and like to shop, do abit of sightseeing and be relatively close to restaurants. This will be our third trip and we are happy and in our comfort zone at Legian all though we do venture out. We have liked both hotels but will be trying the Garden View Cottages this time. I think for your first trip somewhere nice is a must only because we had friends that came to Bali and stayed at abudget hotel and swear they will never go to Bali again, how they can say that I don't know because Bali and it's people really will become a part of you. When are you going? Wherever you stay have a wonderful time and maybe we will see you at Sammie and Suzie's
