I recall on here some time ago, quite a few threads on the problem pests at Besakih. They were seriously hounding people to the point where it just wasn't funny.
For that reason we didn't visit 2 years ago and went to Ulawatu (sp) and paid a guide 50 000, fed the monkeys, went to a cremation and came away happy.
One is mother temple and the other is father temple. Can;t remember which is which.
We're off again in a couple of weeks and don't think we'll bother going to Besakih because we really don't like being hounded.
