Ketut is a great young man with the friendliest smile and a helpful attitude, one South of S & S. His brother Wayan in the one North of S & S at the Mandira steps, where a lot of ex-pats hang out.
Ketut's Boss is Diego, a medium small bitzer dawg of great character, seldom fights and just lives his life happily on the beach, saying hello to all and sundry. Around mid-day he picks someone whom he thinks is a softie to share their umbrella; as the sun shifts so does Diego, nudging the Tourist out into the sun whilst keeping the shady bit for himself.
In my next life I want to be a Diego type of a Dawg, living on that Magic Island, spoilt by Tourists and supervising one of Bali's nicest young men.
