Pak is a commonly used word in conversation. It is an abbreviation of the more formal bapak meaning father. Bapak is a term of respect or courtesy to a male of comparable or senior years. Ditto for Bu & Ibu for females. Pak & Bu are also terms of affection & filial respect given to some paternal/maternal authority figures, eg the President.

So what do you say it means??
