Ketut's Beach bar - Located at Legian Beach, just up from Legain Beach Hotel (before you reach the lifeguard tower). I was in Bali in January and hung out at Ketut's Beach Bar most days, as I do every year, and there was always groups of people there, swapping stories and generally having fun. It is a great place to sit (chairs provided) at sunset and enjoy a bintang. Always a great atmosphere, and Ketut is genuinely a nice person, which explains why he has so made so many friends. I recommend you go down there and say hello.
Tilly's Cafe & Bar - a great place to visit as the atmosphere is friendly and casual, with live music and friendly staff. The food is cheap, and is mix of Indonesian and Western menu. I spent New Years Eve there and we even got up and danced. It is also clean and cosy.
It is located on Jalan Benesari (turn right off Poppies Lane II, it's on your left)
Siluet Band - they are regulars at both the Hard Rock Hotel - Centre Stage and The Wave. I caught them at both venues in January and had a great time. Also saw them the last time I was there. They have been playing together for a long time and are very experienced showmen. One of the best cover bands in Bali that I've heard. I believe they are playing at Centre Stage again in July and August.
