Flight centre - we are a party of 5 (two adults, 16, 8 and 3 year old) + two suites at MBR for 22 nights +flights +all compulsory meals (NYE and XMAS)+ breakfasts and insurance (Transfers are separate with our favourite driver). $9.2K. final payment due in November (so you kinda layby it!).
I know its more expensive than other times of the year, but every 2nd xmas we have our balinese AntiChristmas - with no obligations, no presents (Santa does drop the kids a million rupiah each though) and no stress, no cooking, no worries. Its an awesome XMAS day.
Last balinese antixmas (2004) we ended up at Maccas for lunch (what the kids wanted) and IndoNational for Dinner - who do an awesome christmas dinner.
I can thoroughly recommend Bali for Xmas and NYE.
