Runners & more casual attire is acceptable on sports days.
Neither have accepted jeans & you get "chopped" if you do wear them.
Neat attire etc is the norm.
Kids in non private schools usually have an optional uniform dress code therefore they wear what they please or as the current fashion trend dictates (or modify the school uniform)
They generally are not following the lead of their teachers...that's just uncool....
