Lots of peace & quiet. Lovely and mostly deserted beaches, give or take the odd fisherman repairing his nets or prahus. The beaches are littered with lovely and colorfull prahus (outrigger sailing canoes).
Serangan is also home to the uniquely beautifull Pura Sakenan, a beautifull hindu temple, unique in that it is constructed of white coral blocks as opposed to the red brick used in most temples throughout Bali.
be advised that there will be a daunting gauntlet of aggressive vendors waiting to meet you as soon as you set foot on the island. Stern fortitude and a smile will help you pass quickly. Once your through that obstacle, peace awaits.
