which caused your flight to be cancelled.
The aircraft which was scheduled to operate these flights was "borrowed" by the Indonesian Government as the President wished to make a trip abroad somewhere.
There is no consideration for Garuda and the inconvenience to its passengers - or addtional costs for the airline in accommodating passengers in Bali and moving passengers in Australia to other Cities. In the case of Adelaide, passengers were flown to Perth the evening before on Qantas - then accommodated at Grand Chancellor Hotel overnight before joining the 8 a.m. flight Perth/Denpasar.
When Soeharto was in power, he would take one of Garuda's 747-400's out of the fleet for his "jaunts" abroad!
