Shimmerlilly - I have two girls 14 and 11 who have travelled to Bali on a number of occasions - they loved staying at the Kumala Pantai. My girls however did not want to get out and kick a ball or play on playground equipment (none in this hotel)- being content to swim in the pool or wander the shops with their Mum between trips to the Elephant Park, Waterbom etc. This was a great hotel for us as our girls are older and did not require "playground" space. They also love all the restaurants just outside the hotel on the beach, Seaside, Lanai and Zanzibar in particular - so easy with kids to wander down for dinner and not to have to pile them in a cab. Just remember Seaside has a great pooltable upstairs and is only a minutes walk away if they get bored (you can always have a cocktail while they are playing pool)- have a great holdiay.
