Hi All you forumites and Bali lovers. Last went in Jan, and had a great relaxing holiday, as always, and were pleased to give some of what we have to those less fortunate than oursleves. Just love the Balinese people and they are always so grateful for any money clothes toys etc and still smile after all thats happened. But did find it very upsetting that they are struggling and thought it so sad that restaurants and even hotels are so empty. Anyone who is recently back, can you tell me what its like now? Getting there or still very quiet? One other thing, we also had big trouble with a group of 'Indian' males who wanted nothing else but a 'piece' of my 12 yr old son, after he and their son (same age) had a very small scrape in Waterbom, but it got very nasty when the adults wanted our son...literally...this has put my other half off of Bali somewhat & left a bad taste in his mouth...as it got very scary, and it took all of my hubbies strength and determination NOT to do anything to antagonise the situation more, although he dearly would have liked to show them where to go, thank god he didn't, or he could've ended up beside Chappelle..as the "other" Fathers (yes there were 4 against 1) spoke Hindu/Balinese language...I am trying hard to convince him to forget it. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
