isnt it great that you can laugh about things like this after the event but at the time its so not funny !! Years ago a friend and I stayed at the Hotel Wina and got this rotten room up 3 flights of ever shrinking stairs to find a room with an ancient bathroom and CARPET on the floor ( imagine the smell !!) and a HUGE cockroach to great us YUUUKKK.Tried very hard to change hotels and even rooms within the hotel but gave up in the end and decided not to let it ruin our holiday.Still laugh about it now as we also went to Perth for a girls weekend once and accidently booked into the Missions to Seamen hotel ( no way, we laughed so much !!) then booked another place which turned out to be this lovely old hotel that had been renovated only to find the rooms were about 100 years old with a window that wouldnt close etc etc and we laughed so much and drank too much and then splurged big time for the next night and stayed at Observation City. We still joke about finding the worst accommodation when we go somewhere together !!
