Just got round to posting my jbr. It took a while for me to get out of bali mode and back to reality. We didn't do too much this time just relaxed since we didn't have the kids this time.
Day 1 26th april- Garunda flight was half empty which was great so we could stretch out but when we booked our flight we were told only 2 seats left, that's why we left the kids at home!!! Arrived at the dynasty (our 2nd home) and went around visiting our old friends in the hotel. They welcomed us home and were upset the kids were there. had dynasty famous club sandwich with fries-50,000 wandered up kartika plaza and the streets were empty.Changed money- rate 6650
Day2 27th april- brought some clothes from jenny's shop (opposite green garden hotel)which were the same price as last time (oct), there were a few new items, beautiful sari over shoulder bags 20,000 i got one in every colour and came handy while in bali. Went up to centro/discovery to see if they had finished the enclosure between buildings and they had, more shops are going in the middle, brought some nice oshkosh clothes from kids clothingshop on 2nd floor. brought denim dress with bloomers-129,000, red pleated dress 139,000 and denim short 99,000 and baby doll top 89,000 still alot cheaper than here. Back to hotel and had reflexology for 1 hr -90,000 and enjoyed very minute of it. later that evening we walked up to poppies lane 1&2 there was no one around very little tourists. walked back towards kuta and found a restruant B-couple next to kuta paradiso hotel. Dinner was nice- steak, veg's and garlic potato -65,000 and i had creamy mushroom pasta- 30,000. Entertaintment was great, live band but we were the only one there.
Day3- Went up to ramayanas and brought some more baby clothes 2 top and 3/4 pant set 40,000 and dress with bloomers and hat 49,000. Heaps of cheaper shoes 50% & 75% off got 4 pairs of shoes for 120,000 one pair was only 14,000. My hubby was annoyed as they don't have his size (13) in any shoes. On way back to kuta we went to Aboden Variasi- Motor bike shop and brought my son (age 10) real fox riding pants -275,000 and fox riding top -75,000 they didn't have a huge range & sizes but we got a bargain as the pants are $150 alone here. Found a great japanese restruant- Bluefin, kartika plaza next the stadium opposite kuta paradiso. A little more than other restruants but well worth it. My hubby had salmon rolls-6pcs-25,000,

We enjoyed this meal so much and was worth even cent. It was freshly made as you order it.
Day 4- Stayed in hotel and had our free massage which was ok not as good as the green garden spa. Had lunch at gracie kelly's but my hubby got sick off the seafood chowder, (which is normally nice) so we spent the rest of day in our room.
Day 5- Our driver Raceng took us to any orphange near denpasar so we could drop off clothing & blankets. 236 kids in one small building and they are building a 4 storey building to accomadate them. The kids actually build this. Had a look around and were sad to see so many abandon children. I needed to bring more clothes. Left a donation as well as these kids only get rice with one lot of veg's a day. Stopped in a ramanya on way back and brought more shoes and baby clothes. Went to my friend (lady from kids club at hotel)house by myself as my hubby was still not feel very well for a home cooked meal. We had ayam betutu which is like a roast chook but twice as nice. I was sad to see they have very little but have big hearts. Next time we come i will have to bring them cutlery, dinner and glass sets. I gave them 200,000 for dinner to cover cost of dinner and this will pay half of the rent for the month.
Day 6- My hubby had his 2nd tattoo done by Mr dolphin-kuta. He had a tribal design that goes from shoulder to elbow. It is unreal. cost 2,000,000-$305 which is same price as last tattoo. It took 3 hrs, i went to matahari to shop for more baby clothes. We had dinner at the Dewi Sri restaurant- kartika plaza st(towards airport)It was recomended by Bali babe so we trust her judgement as we have got sick off seafood before. The best seafood, beats Jimbaran any day, all seafood is live in tanks and they take them out and cook them straight away, any way you like them. I had chicken noodles-19,000 yum, my hubby had 1kg of jumbo prawns 160,000 20 prawns to a kg. The owners was very nice and gave us a mud crab for free because they couldn't believe my hubby could eat a kg of jumbo prawns by himself, he said most people only eat 1/2 kg between them because their so big.It was the sweetest crab i've even had.Total cost 250,000 (including about 5/6 beers & softdrinks) and we didn't get any sickness so we will be eating there again for sure!!!!
Last day- Went to kuta kids factory but was close due to ceremony next day( their christmas) so went to legian to find a purple mozzie net for babys cot. Got a big square one, purple very long netting - 220,000 could have got it cheaper but my hubby hates bartering and just gave her the money.Had hair extentsion done on beach and nails done-250,000 for both. Finished packing and sid our good bye to everyone. Flight looked like it was going to be packed. but lucky the back of the plane was half empty. Took off at 10.00pm and arrived in perth at 1.20am. As usual our baggage was last off but lucky we didn't have anything tp declare and the line was very long. Now it's back to reality un forunately. Thanks for reading hope i didn't bore you. Hope all going to bali soon have a great time
