As others have said, it was previously called Sol Inn and before that was called Bali Indra. I stayed there in 1994 when it was known as Bali Indra. There were reno's done and it was renamed just after that (late 94 I think). Initially there was nothing out the front but a big carpark and you had to walk through a small shopping arcade to get to the hotel.
The old (original) Bounty ship was almost directly across the road. There also used to be a Loji supermarket a few doors up from the Bounty when I stayed there.
Great spot if you don't mind staying right on the main street. I wouldn't do it again though. I didn't like being hit by the 'sell sell sell' crowd the second I left the hotel.
