You might want to make some enquiries about distance education (I'm assuming you are in Australia) at least for some subjects so that if and when you return they will not have much to catch up on. I'd guess they'd pick up Bahasa Indonesia quicker than anyone because they are young. I wonder if you are thinking of sending them to a private school (not so expensive)or international school (expensive!!!!0. I'm not sure about attending a local school and if it's possible or not. I mean if they are doing distance ed. they will probably learn more in a month living in a new country than they would in a year at schoo, and become bilingual too.

If the loss of the money you put into the venture would ruin your life then I'd have a good think about it, just in case. If you feel it's an acceptable risk then why not?

Maybe don't have high expectations about profit. If it's enough to finance your sea change that might be realistic.
