I have had a BNI account & now hold a BII account. No Kitas, no problems. Even got my debit card there & then. All I needed was a photocopy of my passport. I have never left the account inactive more than 6 months but they have never advised that it would be frozen if I did so. Had much more problems trying to open a bank account in UK.
