Sometimes not reliable. We were there a few weeks ago, and all Merpati flights, other than the 7am/8am and 7pm/8pm flights were cancelled! Then when we did arrive at Denpasar airport, the 7am Merpati flight was cancelled, but they managed to get a GT Air plane to take us to Lombok. It is really important to make sure you reconfirm your flights. The planes are only small - hold about 20-24 people - they were full when we travelled! You also have to pay departure tax at both airports.
