told me in Jan/Feb 2005, they use their wholesale company to get their quotes from eg: of this was my childrens ipods cost us $299 Dec 2004 They would of got $219(this is what their wholesaler quoted) less depreciation of the months it was owned. Anything less than 4 or 6 months won't get depreciated everything else will.(sorry i won't quote 1 date as i have forgotten which one it was it was either 4 or 6 months)
They tend to give a replacement or a credit, not cash/cheque unless you replaced it while on holidays and produce receipts for this. They want all original receipts as proof you owned it and bought it and won't send them back.(so take copies of all)
BUT hey they will pay all claims if you have a couple of alcohol drinks with your meal, unlike any company associated with Mondial assistance. They still have the same clause "affected by alcohol"
