Last June we were way over our weight limit after departing with Ao from Brisbane. (well qantas from Brisbane to Melbourne). As we weighed in we told the girl that we had clothing and gifts to give to the locals. We also had folding chairs and an old surfboard. We were not charged any extra at either end. No questions asked when we arrived in Bali.
