We stayed there in March this year. Thought the deluxe was typical Balinese style (which I am very happy with) although rooms were rather stark. Tiled floors, big room with big beds and very spacious. Lots of floor space for shopping bags!. The "kitchen" was old and basic but had a gas hotplate, sink, fridge and small table. The bathroom was half covered and half bali-style open to the stars. Small garden area enclosure for each two villas. The pool was large and clean. Breakfast was choice of Indonesian or Western. Servings werent large but it was breakfast after all not an evening meal so a small plate of fruit, bacon eggs toast or mei goring and tea/coffee was all we needed. For anything else, there was a menu but we never bothered to order more. It cost us 20,000rp by cab to Jalang Double Six. It was walking distance to the beach, "Eat Street" (including Ku De Ta) and we used the hotel driver to go to Ubud and back for the day 240,000rp. You could walk to Seminyak shopping but it only cost 10,000rp by cab and saved time as not much to see along the way. The place was quiet but the few guests there were all friendly at breakfast. That was about the only time we saw anyone as we usually got home late. The staff were friendly and the room cleaned each day.
The package cost us AU$700 each (travelling triple) and included return airfares, return airport transfers, accommodation and breakfast for seven days. I thought it was great value. Only problem for me I really like being closer to Kuta area for the convenience of dropping back into the hotel regularly throughout the day and found that being further out we ended up being out for the whole day, every day. It's wasnt a party place or a luxury upmarket hideaway fit for a king but it was comfortable, almost "homely" with security at the gate and along the pathways at all times. Value for money was excellent.
