I stayed here in Feb this year, in a superdeluxe room (19). I have pics of the room & a hotel plan & map if you would like to the web address below. Room 19 is downstairs. The upstairs rooms are accessed by external stairs located on the side opposite the bathroom.
If you took a portable dvd player or a dvd-playing laptop, your kids would be able to watch dvds instead of TV during your stay. There are plenty of new release dvds available for Rp10,000 (less than $2 AUD) in dvd shops.
The hotel is pretty much surrounded by rice fields so there isn't really anywhere on the property to kick a ball without getting wet! There is a soccer field in Monkey Forest Rd, but it would be a good 10-15 minutes walk away. However, the hotel staff could probably point you in the right direction if there are any alternatives.
