not sure about others on this forum but the drive to north Bali is very scary for first time drivers in Bali.. if you have never exerienced the driving in Bali before I would reccomend you hire a driver for this trip.. it is very windy and you cannot see around the corners at all..and the traffic is amazing, they overtake anytime...lines don't matter over there and as you maybe aware they don't have rules..other than you give way to the biggest vehicle...you can even drive drunk over there and get away with it.. I just came back from Bali last week and i went up to Singaraja on bike which is not to far from Lovina with a very experienced rider who does this trip very oten..i have been there many times 5 times in the last year and a half and I would not even dream of driving upto Lovina...It is the worst 2 & 1/2 hour drive I have ever been on..Goodluck to you if you try it but I do believe only those who have been there many times and experienced the driving in Bali before good enough to do this...enjoy your holiday...
