As an alternative...we have just returned from ubud. We stayed at Hotel Tjampuhan which is not far from the ones u stated and is also a sister hotel to those as well. Tjampuhan is set amongst stunning gardens. Has caring staff who go out of their way to make your stay one to remember. It is set on the side of a ravine looking down on the river below. You stay in little villas with ensuites and balconies. It has two pools and they are set amongst the beautiful gardens. They also have a shuttle at your service to drop you into ubud centre and pick you up again anytime u like. It is also within walking distance to the centre of ubud which we walked several times!
