hi..we were in bali on the 20th april, we heard nothing about the heightened tourist risk. We spent time both in tuban, kuta and ubud and at no time felt threatened. We felt safe and the balinese people were lovely. Go and enjoy ur stay as we did....it doesnt matter where you travel these days there will always be an element of risk. Bali is truely a magic place....make the most of the time while you are there!
