My wife has asked me to respond to this because we have had experiences with several tailors throughout Asia, in Australia and two in Bali. When Marianne saw me in the casual pants made by Anika tailor she said "those are the best cut pants I have ever seen you in". We had a further fitting today, the measuring was precise, and the workmanship excellent -- straight well sewn seams, proper double stitching on pocket flaps, proper formed points on lapels and pants lined to below the knee. We also met the cutter who cuts the special orders because my wife had a fancy evening jacket made with ruffled lapels in Thai silk. A very demanding assignment and yet the first fitting was almost perfect. Our requirements are for smart casual or business wear, so we look for a reasonable selection of fabrics including imported Italian and European wools or wool mix and workmanship that can make out-of-the-ordinary designs with a high-quality finish. In Bali we previously used sweet tailor and feel they were some 20% more and produced a lesser quality product. Our driver and our guide that we've used for three years are also highly knowledgeable and agree that, although there are cheaper tailors, if you are looking for sports jackets, suits, smart casual and business wear Anika is probably the best value for money (that we are aware of). ... and thanks to the forum members who previously posted about Anika and helped us in our decision.
