Even though we have been many times (two old boilers)the excitement is still there. We leave on Sunday for 2 weeks in Bali staying in Ubud and Sanur. We have never been offered drugs or met Kuta cowboys on previous visits so you can guess we are well past our "prime". Have been following all the forumites postings over the last few weeks and the lack of tourists in Bali does not worry us - we see it as an advantage, and hope that other potential visitors to Bali see it as a time to enjoy the luxury of having the hotel pool almost to yourself and no hassles with the sun lounges. Will be visiting Crackers Bar and having lunch at David and Moira's hotel, Thursday dinner at Naughty Nuri's, Tuesday night at the Trophy Pub and shopping at Tootsie's. This forum is invaluable with information. Now, I have one question, all our friends want pearls from Sahara who sells his jewellery near the Jayakarta Hotel. Has anyone seen him recently? Tomorrow we pack all the lipsticks, toys, baseball hats and other bits and pieces we have collected for the hotel staff, and then we are off on a big plane. Will do reports from Bali.
