so why go on like this?

I didn't come to the opening as from Monday of last week I was 120km up north in Amed helping a charitable organisation test the eyes of 754 disadvantaged children in 9 spread-out schools. 16 needed glasses which will give them a fair shot at education and 3 have bigger problems which will entail surgery.

So if you don't mind, I would really appreciate it if you could desist from trying to make me feel guilty by playing the charity card.

Sorry pal, but I don't read this forum every day and I have no idea who owns the bar, but I understood it was an Australian.

I don't know how I could have seen you " when you were there" as I haven't the faintist idea who you are, just as I guess you don't know who I am even if I do live next door.

I didn't notice the parabola until Tuesday as I only returned this past Monday evening.

On closer examination I was wrong. One leg of the Parabola is on my wall and the other is on the wall of the Tunjung Bali with almost all of the parabola overhanging my property. But whatever way you look at it, it shouldn't be there.

I think that you would have to agree that it is normal everywhere for people to instal parabolas, or whatever, on their own properties rather than their neighbours.

I haven't talked to Ricky as I felt that it was better for the owner to see the posting and take it on board when he is next over here, as previously mentioned. If Ricky is the real owner then please tell me and I will talk to him.

I have been here since 1988 and I don't believe that people, whether they be local or foreign, should walk over other people's rights.

I am really not sure where you are coming from, and I can't envisage why you would think I would know how many km's you are away from Bali, or what that has to do with anything, but I would still have thought that you would respect people's property rights, just as I'm sure you expect people to respect yours.

A forum is a free exchange of ideas. Unless you are Veitnamese or a member of the other 7 remaining Communist states I would have thought that you would champion my right to make any posting, rather than resort to bad language and a call for my postings - but not yours - to be censored. That was what Suharto did.

With respect to the sign, I also believe that apart from the legal aspects, it is irresponsible to hang a sign over a public road/walkway so low that around 50% of the people passing under it could receive facial or eye injuries, especially at night after the signs light has been turned out. What do you think?

Don't know where your aggression stems from but my posting really shouldn't have prevoked such a strong reaction. Should it?
