the room cleaner at the start, say 50,000 ($10) ensures a sparkling clean room and a big grin - if you are discreet , another 20,000 on the last day extends checkout until 6pm if you have that horrible late night departure . At a restaurant I always try to give the waiter/waitress something , maybe 10-20,000 , without anyone else seeing as I suspect otherwise it all goes into a pot to be shared out . Round up taxi fares etc like the others say
Every time , the hotel workers somehow find out which day you leave and are magically there to say goodbye ... it's hard to give one without the other , so you basically need to budget for giving a bit to everyone you've spoken to :-)
