Be careful- many have done this in Australia - and the clever ones are now buying in Laos- cheaper.
We build swimming pools- went to look for very large water feature. Bought one- $100. However, final price landed with taxes transport was $1000. I really think Bali has been done in this dept.
A man I met from Perth imports 4 containers per year of stufffrom Bali. He said he makes enough to spend a fortnight each quarter at a 3 star in Bali.
Remember it costs approx $5000 get the container home before you fill it up. Not that you would bring an empty one home!!
Having filled the container, you have to allow a % of goods that may be damaged. I have brought in a lot in the past but not now.
You could offer to go shopping for friends- take pictures, bring them home and tnen order- you would line up the agent first. Have an excellent young agent who works for a big company- took me to excellent quality places- paid a little more- but worth it.She had an Aussie boyfriend and is hilarious and really on the ball.
