After the first bomb the British Government put out a travel warning which prevented British holiday makers getting travel insurance in Bali and for while the Brits in Bali were like hen's teeth as they were unable to travel there.
However, unlike DFAT (which has never reduced the level of travel warning only re-issued it) the British Government removed their warning so the Brits were able to travel to Bali again... hence you seeing more Brits. Maybe... this is the reason why you are seeing more Europeans (including Brits) than Australians these days.
"When are the Australians coming back?" perhaps the real answer to that question lays in when the Australian Government deems it safe to do so... and that's out of our control.
Just my thoughts on the subject.
