I ahve had this discussion before abd it was pointed out that some of those glad wrapped bundles, when opened, are not all aussie coins.
Also, when I did agree to the exchange and offered what I thought was the equivalent of the going rate I got that pained 'you make ne bankrupt" look on their face and it just ticked me off - so now I just say "no"
