I wish!! We can only travel at Christmas time and the cheapest we ever got was $1248 with AA last December and only because of losing out with AP. Two previous years we have paid app. $1500 for flight component only. However I do agree and I have been guilty of excess and only paid once but that is the luck of the draw.
