- would avoid Kintimani as it is probably the place most unlike Bali that you can imagine. The sellers are more like thugs and if you can be at all intimidated you will be.
Try somewhere else like the temple in the lake at Bedugul just into the northern mountains or the water palace, Pura Taman Ayun, near Mengwi about 50 Km directly north of Kuta.
A driver and good A/C vehicle will be about Rp300,000 for a 6 hour day. Make sure you know where YOU want to go or the driver might take you to places where he will get a kick-back fron shop owners at your expense.
