The drive will take about 1.5hrs -2 you will get a good driver from outside Dynasty, go over and see Dianne at Dianne's shop she will help mention Greg & Cheryl from Sydney or get one of the boys from under Daddy's and ask for a good van cost should be no more than 300-350 Thou Rph for the day. The hawkers are the most aggresive on the Island i have found. It is very nice up there get the driver to take you a little away from many resturant strip as this is were you get hit. Don't be sucked into the all you can eat buffet that is offered as it can be old food, anywhere you go you will get great views of the volcano and maybe a puff or 2 of smoke from the top. The trip up is also just as good you can make a good day out of it but remeber it can get cold up there. 2yr old should be ok does the kid sleep in the car make sure you have plenty to drink. You are going late May? we are also at the Dynasty then fingers crossed.
