Agree that the road is busy. Medewi is 15 minutes away. The morning time when the fishermen coming home is great to see.
You can continue going west and make a turn to the north and stay around Pemuteran afterward (snorkelling area) or heading north from Pekutatan Market passing through BUnunt Bolong and Rice paddy around Pupuan.The second route wil be more interesting.
