I find it hard to believe that only 1/2 the number of Aussie tourists were going in Feb compared to previous years. When I was in Bali late January 06 things were really quite, we were based in Legian spent nights in Kuta and often we were the only Aussie tourists walking around. But heaps of tourists from Russia.
You would have read from peoples JBR's how quiet it is but the Balaniese are still as friendly and everyone asked us when will the Aussies come back, it was hard because its a question you can not answer, without saying when they feel it is safe. Thats a personal choice for each individual to make.
Anyway have a great trip in June we plan to in May.
