Day nine Sunday, Today will be when I see Ketut again after our almost week apart.

I am up at about 7 and after a quick wonder down the road head back to the hotel for brekkie, have a great feed then I'm off on a little trip to see my friends that run my favourite DVD store to say hello and let them know there are a few I'm still looking for. I am not a great shopper but feel the need to buy a few t shirts for my son so I go to see Miss Debby who has become a friend through my brother in law, and unlike others have always been given a great price and not had anything added onto the end of my bill.

I'm thinking at this time that tonight I will take Ketut to Nero's, so I will skip it for lunch and I end up at Bali Colada, which is in the Discovery/Centro Mall on the ocean side you can sit inside as I did this time or outside which on a fine day would be great. Alas today is wet and although not cold not really the best day to be out on the terrace. Food was great they have a very good menu and I think most people would find something here to eat. I had a really nice seafood marinara, with garlic bread, washing it down with a real cold Bintang!! As I paid my bill was handed a business card for the restaurant, and also one for the new R,aja's which is near the Bintang Supermarket in Seminyak.

I had a little walk out side to see what the temp was and it was cool but nice, I was amazed that visibility was very limited. Normally you can see all the way to the horizon but today barely 100 metres out to see the sky is just so dark and looking like the weather has set in for the day? Oh well not to worry, as this is the first trip to Bali I have seen rain like this its just another new experience for me and I like rain and cooler weather so this is good. As I head up to the first floor a Balinese lady who offers to put a flower in my hair behind my ear greets me at the top of the escalator with a warm smile I accept her offer and am further greeted with a demonstration of dance and music. I find that this is a very nice way to spend a few minutes to break up the shopping and walking.

Although I can't use both hands fully I have always loved to look at and try to play guitar. To be honest it would be fun to learn and I did see a guy busking in Perth once that played an ordinary electric guitar as a slide guitar that you see used in C/W bands. One of these days I'm going to try that and see just what I can get out of playing one like that, for now I just take a look to see how price compares to back in Perth for a cheep guitar. From what I can see prices are about the same. For those of you are thinking oh boys and their toys, year I could be guilty of that I always told my kids I had a better toy car collection than they did.

I also have a look at IT/computer gear as I build and fix them (self trained) in my spare time and think its getting better here but still not much computer stuff around if anyone knows of Computer shops please let me know.

Time to head back to the hotel for my nanna nap and to get ready for Ketut's arrival. I meet her in front of the hotel reception at about 4.30 and we head back to my room so that Ketut can put her things away and we can chat and catch up, I have many questions for her as she has been to her village for a ceremony and I love to hear her talking about them and what she does when taking part in the ceremony. It's not hard to understand why there is no public holidays in Bali? It's mostly because there is always a ceremony going on in one place or another. Ketut is feeling a little tired so we have a little rest and fall asleep in each other's arms, as I sit here writing this I think it was so nice to open my eyes and see my beautiful Ketut sleeping beside me J

At about 6pm we get up both shower and dress for dinner, and for those that think they may stay at Camplung Mas at some time like most places there are problems with rooms, but I am lucky as again new room not used before and everything is in good working order, also clean never had a problem here except hot water on this trip went cold but was fixed within 20 minutes or being reported to staff. Now we are both fresh from the shower and out little rest its time for dinner and we head off by taxi to Nero's, both together and alone I have been to Nero's so many times over the past two visits to Bali I know all the staff very well. They also know Ketut and I and show us to what has become our regular table, it's the third on the left as you walk into the left hand entrance of the restaurant. LOL

Food setting, and most off all company here tonight are as close to perfect as you can get and I feel like the luckiest guy in the world, there really is no better feeling than being with that one special person we all deserve to find in life. And for all those with your cynic radar up, I'll tell you straight in life there are no guarantees and no one can protect you from being hurt. That's just a fact and I have been the type of person that always go through life being careful but something's are worth taking a chance on? And to my way of thinking love is one that's worth the risk!

I have been married divorced (boy that was the best thing that happed to me in a long time) after my divorce I have gone on to do so much with my life, and my kids are great.

Well Ketut and I are both feeling really great as we are not in any way tired after our sleep earlier so both of us are happy to sit and chat. We always enjoy our chats and find out more and more about our respective cultures and life. Ketut is what I would say is typical of most Balkanise mothers very devoted to her daughter and although we have talked a few times about bringing Ketut to Australia for a holiday is something she has showed she would love to do, but tells me she will miss Devy her daughter. I tell her again no problem just bring her along that way you will not miss her and she will enjoy the visit, Phillip my son would be more than happy to introduce her to some of his friends who have younger siblings.

Interestingly I think if Ketut was the type of person to want to take advantage of me or rip off as some appear to think Ketut has had more than ample opportunity and even when I take her shopping does her best to not let me spend money on her! I hope that the people that read here and make comments along that way will feel a little better, if not that's cool its me that needs to be the one to feel good about the relationship. I feel really great about this relationship and just take it as it comes.

I once heard a great saying that I do my best to live by now. It was told to an AFL football team, and it goes like this.

Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid?

To me it just means if there is something I want, just go for it take a chance and most of the time it will come true. Different people will see it different ways and that's cool as we are all different!!

Ketut and I headed back to the hotel at about 11pm and went to our room. Again I spend a wonderful night in the arms of a wonderful lady, my Ketut.

PS: I had a couple of SMS messages from Agus who is my mate and the operations manager of Camplung Mas, was just asking him how things where and he told me that at the moment it's about 49% full and for May looking like being full so he was very happy. I hope other hotels are the same and it's a sign that Bali might be on the way back?
