Question-computer illiterate

Going to Bali 28th April, plan on using the internet cafes to comunicate back home, Im fine with sending emails, but my qestion is how can I recieve emails? I currently have a Iprimus email address connected to my home computer, but cannot access this to read emails with my work computer. Do I have to set up a hotmail address and can I access this to read emails from bali. I know a blond question!
