I've been to Bali 11 times and stayed at Aneka every time, I love its location (straight across the road is Kuta beach and next door is Poppies 1) and the staff are just georgeous.
There are three villas are called family suites and have a private pool and their own "compound". Each has two bedrooms downstairs with king size beds with ensuites. The living area is covered but 'open air' and there is a kitchen area with a sink, cupboards and gas plate for boiling the kettle. The upstairs bedroom has two single beds but no toilet and shower so they have to share that with the downstairs. The last time I stayed in one (maybe two years ago) they were doing up the downstairs outside loo so this may may be done.
Each of the family suites are named after flowers, my favourite one is 'Anggrek' as the pool has steps to get in and out of (rather than ladders) and the pool gets the afternoon sun longer (but this may not matter to you). If you google for aneka beach the first photo on the indo.com webpage is of the family suite I'm talking about.
If you have a group these are great as it appears that no matter how much noise you make, it only really stays in your area and doesnt bother the neighbours.
When are you going? I have friends hoping to stay in one in June this year.
