Did something new today... went to check out Discovery Mall and Centro... left with a bunch of things...
They have some very interesting items for sale at the various stalls on the concourse... I got a lovely tortoisehell hair-clip (claw) with rhinestones for Rp 80,000... and a black & white belt for Rp 60,000...

I did find some items at Centro rather expensive though... like toddler underwear (pack of 5) for Rp 109,000...

Also managed to pop my head into more shops on Jln Legian and Jln Arjuna...

Also dropped by Animale ... got a couple of pairs of glorious "Birkenstock-esque" sequinned sandals for Rp 59,000 per pair... also some gorgeous silver metal butterfly hair-clips with rhinestones for Rp 69,000 each...

On Jln Legian, I found a place called "Dot." which carries many UK labels (and thank God, sizes!)... everything in that store is on 70% discount... they will be closing down in September - so everything MUST GO. Can you imagine that I got an actual "Made in England" leather belt (black) from the label "Racing Green" for only Rp 45,000? I cursed myself for having already bought the black & white belt from Centro... am thinking of going back for the brown one I spied at Dot. tomorrow! Also left with some cute white socks (from Next) - Rp 15,000 ... and a fab black top for Rp 135,000!!!

Do you know what I dicovered? Those two shops "Fortunata" & "F....a" (for the life of me I cannot remember the name - but they both carry the same stock and are likely owned by the same owner)... they had the same pair of cargo shorts (for my son) which I bought at Millenia for only Rp 59,000 ... but at those shops on Legian, they were more than double the price!!!

Today's meals:

Breakfast at Cafe Moka - still the best baguettes here... yummy hot choc too!

Lunch at Sederhana (Nasi Padang) on Jln Bypass - fabulous array of food... one of the waiters informed me that they will soon open an outlet in my hometown! Yay!

Tea at Le Bake Shop - they have the BEST New York Cheesecake (topped with strawberries)... sadly we were the only buggers in there. Also it seemed like they have toned down the amount of their baked goods judging from the display shelves and fridge... perhaps not having as good a business as they were used to....

Dinner at Trattoria - was our first time there... enjoyed the meal so much that it is no wonder that even at times like these it is STILL crowded! Has the right mix. Delicious food, attentive friendly service, casual & fun atmosphere and reasonable prices!

It will be my husband's b'day tomorrow... so will be treating him like a king... only for tomorrow, mind! hahaha

Will report again soon... but perhaps in a couple of days... will spend some quiet evening hrs with him on his special day... hahaha
