We'll weve been in Bali for 10 days now and I've finally relaxed, sorry to all those who say that Bali is as safe as houses but since weve been here even the staff of the 2 hotels we have stayed at so far have warned us of the increasing crime rate and to be extra carefull...It seems as my Balinese and Indonesion language has gotten better, the locals have really opened up.Many are concerned that Bali will never recover, and Everyone is so surprised when we say were Aussies, weve been called everything from French to American and believe me...we don't look it.
On a lighter note, weve been out and about buying paintings in Singarajah and visited the Royal palace yesterday, one art dealer called themsselves 'New York, 9-11' which I found odd, must send that one into Rove "What the?" Husband has been getting nice waves at sarangen )cant spell, and we had the most fantastic meal last night at Bumbu rest in tanjung...it's a must do and was packed. Also found an ATM which seems to have no limit to what you can extract from it, I must say that the new money makes things a bit confusing with 10,000 looking very similar to 100,000.
Anyway Candi Dasa today...alas I have yet to go there.
Our driver Ketut wanted me to say "Bali Loves You" and I tell you what, the feelings mutual.
